As shown on page 2 of the Vincent Booklet, there was restoration work done by a previous owner.

Under the black light only the face shows restoration work. The last photo is the signature under the black light.

  • If restoration work was done, wouldn't the original varnish (if any existed) need to be removed?
  • Then a new protective coating applied?
  • In Suzanne's research, I connect this story to the restoration possibly being done by an Eric Carlsberg.
